Los Guardianes reclamaron de la lista de waivers de los Atléticos el lunes al jardinero dominicano Ramón Laureano.

Laureano, de 29 años de edad, conectó 24 jonrones con OPS de .860 en el 2019 con Oakland, además de exhibir un fuerte brazo desde el jardín central. Sin embargo, no ha igualado esa actuación desde entonces y, además, fue suspendido por dopaje en agosto del 2021.

Este año, Laureano ha perdido tiempo de juego por lesiones en la ingle y la mano derecha, bateando .213/.280/.364 con seis cuadrangulares, 21 empujadas y ocho bases robadas.

El jardinero Laureano fue designado para asignación por los Atléticos cuando Ruiz salió de la lista de lesionados. «Nunca es fácil», dijo el manager Mark Kotsay sobre la decisión que involucra a Laureano.
