EL PORTAVOZ,SANTO DOMINGO.-Un dominicano fue detenido por agentes de la Dirección General de Migración (DGM), cuando se disponía a transportar en un camión a seis nacionales haitianos de manera ilegal.

Se informó que el señor identificado como Wiliver Abel Cuevas Gómez, fue detenido alrededor de las 10:30 de la noche del sábado en el chequeo Boca de Cachón, en Jimani, quien transportaba seis nacionales haitianos con estatus migratorio irregular, mediante un operativo de Interdicción.

Los indocumentados eran transportados en el camión marca Mitsubishi FUSO, blanco, placa I-101174, quienes al ser requisados por los agentes actuantes, no portaban las debidas documentaciones para transitar en el territorio nacional.

Tras la intervención, los detenidos fueron conducidos junto al chofer, al Centro de Acogida para el proceso correspondiente de deportación, mientras el conductor del vehículo será traducido a la justicia ordinaria bajo el delito correspondiente, para que le sea impuesta la sanción correspondiente.

El director general de Migración, Venancio Alcántara, reiteró que bajo ninguna circunstancia permitirá el flujo migratorio irregular en el país, a la vez indicó, que aplicará la ley 285-04 que regula las políticas migratorias en el país.

Así mismo, el funcionario advirtió a quienes se dedican a esta práctica del tráfico de indocumentados, a deponer de la misma, ya que quienes sean sorprendidos en esta acción delictiva enfrentarán la justicia sin importar de quien se trate.
