EL PORTAVOZ, SANTO DOMINGO.- El dirigente choferil Mario Díaz, líder del Movimiento Reeleccionista «La Expansión», felicitó al presidente Luis Abinader por su arrolladora victoria para convertirse en el máximo candidato del Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM), y aseguró que «la candidatura del mandatario garantiza la reelección y la continuación del cambio en el país». Por cierto, anunció que «La Expansión» seguirá creciendo y ensanchando sus esfuerzos para que Abinader siga en el poder cuatro años más.

En nota de prensa, también elogió la muestra de civismo y madurez de la militancia perremeísta y el gesto de humildad del presidente victorioso, quien le tendió la mano a sus contendores internos tras ganar con más del 90% de los votos. Para Mario Díaz fue «ejemplar» la invitación que hizo Abinader a sus tres competidores para que participen con él en el proceso interno, aportando sus ideas e influencia «en el cambio con el que estamos comprometidos en este país».

El dirigente sindical y político exaltó al PRM por realizar primarias para seleccionar a su candidato presidencial, «a pesar de la gran popularidad que tiene el mandatario, cuyas aspiraciones reeleccionistas fueron refrendadas por la militancia de su partido y lo serán también en mayo por el pueblo dominicano».

«La escogencia de Abinader es una demostración del liderazgo y la madurez institucional y organizativa de la entidad que dirige, al celebrar un proceso de elección interna sin ningún tipo de incidentes», dijo Díaz, quien también dirige la Federación Nacional de Trabajadores del Transporte Social Cristianos (Fenattransc).

Por último, destacó su apoyo a la postura del presidente-candidato, quien afirmó que «la política partidaria en nuestro país también está cambiando», y añadió que «Abinader es quien lidera ese cambio social y político a favor de todo el pueblo dominicano».
