Santo Domingo.- El precandidato presidencial por el Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM), Ramón Alburquerque reconoció la victoria del presidente de la República Luis Abinader en las primarias internas del partido oficialista, que se celebraron ayer.

«Felicitaciones señor Presidente marcharemos junto a usted, porque somos demócratas», afirmó en rueda de prensa el presidente del Senado. 

Alburquerque llamó a sus seguidores a sumarse a los trabajos con miras a las elecciones de febrero y mayo del próximo año.

“Acogemos el llamado a sellar la a la unidad interna de nuestra organización para vencer en febrero y mayo del 2024”, dijo el dirigente político.

Alburquerque, quien sacó 20,261 voto para un 2.18 por ciento, explicó que vencerán a la oposición, sobre todo al Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD) y a Leonel Fernández.

Resultados de la convención 

El presidente Luis Abinader resultó  el ganador de la nominación a la candidatura presidencial del Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM), con el 90.86 % (831 ml) de los más de 925 mil votos validos computados en las mesas electorales.

En total votaron sobre los 980 mil, pero 52 mil fueron nulos.

En la contienda interna del PRM celebrada ayer también participaron Guido Gómez Mazará, 51,324 para el 5.56 % de los votos; Ramón Alburqueque, quien sacó 20,261 voto para un 2.18 % , y Delia Josefina Ortiz el 1.42 con 13,083 votos, según la JCE hasta el cierre de esta edición.

Tras darse a conocer los resultados parciales de las primarias, el presidente Abinader habló a los perremeístas congregados en la casa nacional del PRM, donde expresó que “este es un día importante en la historia del partido”, el cual, aseguró, está comprometido con el cambio que vive la República Dominicana.

“Hoy hemos dado una demostración de madurez cívica, donde más de un millón dividieron quienes seremos sus representantes en las próximas elecciones”, expresó el gobernante.
