Con el objetivo de incorporar nuevas herramientas digitales que permitan generar informaciones claves sobre riesgos, trabas, regulaciones y oportunidades para el sector exportador dominicano y los inversionistas, Biviana Riveiro, directora ejecutiva del Centro de Exportación e Inversión de la República Dominicana (ProDominicana) presentó su nuevo Sistema Alertas de Inteligencia de Mercados (SAIM).
Esta nueva plataforma se enmarca en el ecosistema digital de ProDominicana para continuar el proceso de informar y acompañar a los exportadores dominicanos.
Durante el lanzamiento, la viceministra del Ministerio de Industria y Comercio y Mipymes, Vilma Arbaje, especificó que la aplicación digital SAIM será un aliado que agregará valor en las gestiones de negocios del sector exportador dominicano.
En ese sentido, la directora ejecutiva de ProDominicana, Biviana Riveiro Disla, expresó que este nuevo instrumento digital pone a la disposición del sector exportador informaciones claves sobre riesgos, regulaciones o situaciones coyunturales que puedan representar un mayor grado de complejidad o una potencial oportunidad comercial para la internacionalización de la oferta exportable dominicana.
Riveiro indicó que la puesta en marcha del Sistema Alerta de Inteligencia de Mercados (SAIM) permite analizar a tiempo ese tipo de eventos externos y posicionarse estratégicamente para tomar decisiones acertadas en este tipo de contextos.
“El uso de la tecnología en el sector exportador es una necesidad para todo tipo de compañía que quiera crecer en los mercados internacionales, tanto en la producción como en la exportación. Usar este tipo de herramientas reduce riesgos en la toma de decisiones y amplía las posibilidades de comercializar nuestros productos de origen nacional en distintos países y regiones”, puntualizó.
“En momentos en que queremos seguir la senda de la recuperación económica, el crecimiento de las exportaciones, como el récord histórico de USD1,167 millones en mayo de 2023, tener acceso a herramientas como SAIM es fundamental”, señaló la directora ejecutiva de ProDominicana.
Asimismo, aseguró que se convertirá en un valioso instrumento de apoyo para que la comunidad de exportadores esté en capacidad de conocer las necesidades de los consumidores y las características básicas que definen la competencia en los diferentes países o regiones.
“Esta gestión de gobierno ha asumido con firmeza el compromiso de brindar servicios de apoyo que permitan expandir nuestra oferta de bienes exportable en el exterior y eso implica actuar de manera proactiva, siguiendo las directrices emanadas del Plan Nacional de Fomento a las Exportaciones (PNFE) y, justamente, SAIM representa un paso importante en ese contexto”, puntualizó.
Emilio Conde, gerente de Políticas Económicas y Comerciales, dijo que “La herramienta digital SAIM provee una información estructurada en forma de cuatro tipos de alertas comerciales: Amenazas: prácticas comerciales y propuestas normativas aún no adoptadas que podrían provocar una restricción o prohibición de entrada en mercados de interés exportador. Obstáculos: medidas vigentes que dificultan, restringen o prohíben la entrada de productos dominicanos en mercados de interés exportador.
Además, las Actualizaciones: modificaciones de requisitos técnicos, sanitarios o fitosanitarios que impacten la oferta exportable dominicana y las Oportunidades: potenciales oportunidades comerciales en mercados de interés exportador. SAIM está disponible como página web y cuenta con buscador, filtros y botones que facilitan una rápida clasificación y localización de las alertas comerciales. Asimismo, permite la suscripción de usuarios para recibir notificaciones de nuevas alertas sobre mercados o productos de su interés vía correo electrónico”.
Sobre las exportaciones en mayo
En mayo de 2023, las exportaciones de mercancías alcanzaron los USD 1,167.6 millones, experimentando un crecimiento positivo de 8.5%, en comparación con el mismo mes del año anterior y un crecimiento positivo de 26.7% con respecto a este mes del año prepandemia, 2019.
El año 2023 se rompieron récords en el crecimiento mensual de las exportaciones de bienes de la República Dominicana, en el cual se evidencia una desaceleración ligera pero constante de las exportaciones a partir de junio 2022, crecimiento que se ha recuperado en mayo 2023.
Este crecimiento en mayo 2023 estuvo explicado por el crecimiento en las exportaciones de los siguientes productos: Oro en Bruto en 34.8 %, Instrumentos y aparatos de medicina 15.5 % Disyuntores eléctricos 32.6 %, de acuerdo con registros aduaneros preliminares de la Dirección General de Aduanas (DGA). En relación con los destinos, Estados Unidos presenta un crecimiento de 11.2 %, India 74.1 %, Bélgica 17 % y Alemania 25.8 %.
