El embajador de la República de Corea ante la República Dominicana, Lee Sang Ryul, dictó la conferencia “La Importancia de la Formación Técnico-Profesional para el Crecimiento Económico”, en la cual destacó la transformación estructural agrícola de ese país y sus implicaciones para el país.

La conferencia fue realizada y organizada por el Instituto de Formación Técnico Profesional (Infotep) y la Agencia de Cooperación de Corea (Koica), en el marco de un proyecto que establece la colaboración para fortalecer los servicios de capacitación que ofrece el Infotep.

Rafael Santos Badía, director general del órgano rector de la formación técnica en el país, dijo que la conferencia hace notar la importancia que reviste la capacitación técnica para el país asiático y una muestra de eso es el nuevo programa Koica – Infotep, 2024 al 2027, que consiste en la visita de expertos de Corea para capacitar a los docentes y facilitadores de Formación Técnico-Profesional.

“La importancia y pertinencia de este seminario y presentación queda demostrada porque el mismo embajador tiene la convicción de que la formación técnica profesional es la base fundamental para el crecimiento económico de un país, la cual es resultado de su propia experiencia y observación del formidable proceso de desarrollo de Corea”, afirmó Santos Badía.

En su conferencia, Lee Sang Ryul aseguró que la transformación industrial y agrícola va de la mano con la voluntad decisiva y firmeza del Estado, en sinergia con las industrias.

“Con la mejora del rendimiento y la calidad, mediante el fortalecimiento de las capacidades de los institutos del sector de la industria agrícola, con más escuela secundaria para técnicos en todas las regiones, el desarrollo de nuevas semillas genéticas y la mecanización progresiva de la agricultura y desarrollo de una industria de TIC, intensiva en mano de obra con recursos humanos ricos y jóvenes, son elementos fundamentales para el desarrollo de este sector”, dijo el embajador de la República de Corea en el país.

Infotep – Koica

El Instituto Nacional de Formación Técnico Profesional (Infotep) y la Agencia de Cooperación de Corea (Koica), se encuentran en el proceso de elaboración de un gran programa para ofrecer formación técnica profesional a todos los países miembros de la Comunidad del Caribe (Caricom).

Una comisión técnica de ambas entidades ha sostenido varias reuniones de trabajo, en las que se plantearon las necesidades de formación de la región y qué se necesita para atender esas necesidades.

La colaboración se centrará en cuatro aspectos esenciales: desarrollo y mejora de la currícula, capacitación de los docentes y el cuerpo directivo, actualización y mejoramiento de las instalaciones y equipos y la creación de una cooperación triangular entre Infotep, Koica Y Caricom.
