Residentes de sector de Los Mina, pidieron al Ministerio de Obras Publicas y Comunicaciones (MOPC) y a la Alcaldía de Santo Domingo Este la instalación de un semáforo en la intersección de la avenida Venezuela y calle 12 de octubre, frente a la tienda La Sirena y el Liceo Fabio Amable Mota.

Explican los comunitarios que en la referida esquina se registran con frecuencias accidentes de tránsito, debido al gran flujo de vehículos que circula por las vías y que se desplazan hacia el referido centro comercial La Sirena y otros lugares

Señalan los residentes del lugar que el accidente más reciente se produjo la semana pasada, donde cuatro vehículos colisionaron resultando varias personas lesionadas.

Según explicaron los comunitarios que viven cerca de las vías de acceso a la Sirena que muchas veces sienten temor de cruzar por esa intersección, debido al peligro que representa moverse por el lugar, ante el gran movimiento vehicular.

Dijeron que están cansados de solicitarle a las autoridades de MOCP y al ayuntamiento de este municipio, la instalación de un semáforo frente a la tienda La Sirena y el Liceo Fabio Amable Mota, donde cientos de estudiantes tienen que cruzar a diario por el lugar, y exponerse al peligro de ser atropellado por un vehículo.
