SANTO DOMINGO.-Escombros,basuras y yerbas se observan a todo lo largo del trayecto de la Autopista Las Amèricas queda acceso al Aeropuerto Internacional de Las Amèricas, Jose Francisco Peña Gòmez.

La importante vìa cuyo mantenimiento esta a cargo de La Dirección General de Embellecimiento de Carreteras y Avenidas de Circunvalación, (DIGECAC), mantiene la Autopista Las Américas en un total abandono,segun se pudo obervar.

La situaciòn es deprimente ya que esa es vía que  conduce a la terminal de Las Américas, por donde se movilizan cada dia cientos de personas entre ellos pasajeros y turistas que llegan y salen desde y hacia el exterior

Basura, escombros, y un crecimiento importante de la maleza se observa a lo largo de la autopista.

Las personas que salen y visitan el país chocan de frente con un panorama de abandono por parte de la DIGECAC.

Los usuarios de esa vía, demandan de las autoridades poner más cuidado a esa autopista, ya que es la imagen principal de la República Dominicana.

Además, a esto se suma la falta de la iluminación en algunos tramos de la referida vía.

Personas consultadas se quejaron de la oscuridad que impera en la vía.

Se recuerda que el presidente Luis Abinader designó a Marcos Salvador de León Pimentel como director general de Embellecimiento de Carreteras y Avenidas de Circunvalación (DIGECAC) a través del decreto 517-21.
