SANTO DOMINGO. – El Cuerpo Especializado de Seguridad Aeroportuaria y de la Aviación Civil (CESAC), informó este lunes que se incorporaron 221 nuevos agentes de ese organismo AVSEC destacados en las diferentes terminales aeroportuarias, con el fin de reforzar la seguridad en todos los aeropuertos del país, con motivo de la festividad de navideña y fin de año.
El CESAC resalta que el personal de (AVSEC) que reforzará los servicios en las terminales aéreas forma parte del grupo que recientemente finalizo su formación en la Escuela de Seguridad de la Aviación Civil de esa institución
“A partir de hoy los nuevos agentes asumen su responsabilidad en momentos que los niveles de la seguridad en los aeropuertos necesitan ser fortalecida, debido a la temporada alta, lo que se traduce en un creciente tráfico de pasajeros que se movilizan por los aeropuertos nacionales en su mayoría dominicanos ausentes provenientes de Estados Unidos y otras naciones, con motivo del periodo de navidad”, significa la entidad.
El organismo señala, asimismo, que bajo las directrices del Director General del CESAC, el Coronel Piloto Floreal Suárez Martínez, (FARD) los nuevos agentes se suman a otros miembros de la entidad que ya vienen prestando servicios en las distintas terminales del país.
Resalta el CESAC que los agentes que se integran a las labores de seguridad cuentan con los conocimientos, habilidades y prácticas para salvaguardar la aviación civil contra cualquier actos de interferencia ilícita y otros intentos contra la seguridad de la aviación civil.
El nuevo grupo de agentes del CESAC que se integra a los servicios de seguridad viene a contribuir a la vigilancia, verificación y control de instalaciones, vehículos, personas, equipajes, correos, cargas, mercancías y artículos transportados, así como de aeronaves y tripulaciones en el ámbito aeroportuario, ante el flujo de pasajeros que está arribando al país por los diferentes aeropuertos dominicanos
