El Gobierno libanés prohíbe la película “Barbie” por promover la homosexualidad

El ministro libanés de Cultura, Mohamed Murtada, ordenó hoy prohibir la proyección del filme “Barbie” en el país mediterráneo, al considerar que “promueve la homosexualidad” y que va en contra de los “valores morales” del Líbano, informó la Agencia Nacional de Noticias (ANN).

“Promueve la homosexualidad y el transgenerismo, y fomenta la fea idea de rechazar la custodia del padre, menospreciando el papel de la madre y ridiculizándolo. Cuestionando la necesidad del matrimonio y de formar una familia”, consideró Murtada en su notificación al respecto, difundida por la ANN.

Por ello, el ministro ordenó a la Seguridad General del Líbano que tome “todas las medidas necesarias” para evitar que la película dirigida por Greta Gerwig sea proyectada en el país, donde su estreno estaba previsto para el próximo 31 de agosto, al igual que en otros países de Oriente Medio.

Según el texto recogido por la agencia, Murtada defendió que su proyección tendría “los peores efectos y consecuencias, especialmente en los niños”, al tiempo que insistió en que su contenido no va en línea con los valores de la sociedad local, sobre todo en lo respectivo a la familia.

“Después de examinarla, quedó claro que la película ‘Barbie’, cuyo estreno estaba previsto pronto en los cines libaneses, contradice los valores morales y religiosos, y los principios establecidos en el Líbano”, defendió el ministro en su orden.

Aunque el Líbano es considerado uno de los países menos conservadores y con mayor libertad de expresión en la región, el exitoso filme protagonizado por Margot Robbie y Ryan Gosling sí se podrá ver a partir de mañana en Arabia Saudí o Emiratos Árabes Unidos.

La prohibición se produce en momentos en que los derechos LGTB vuelven a estar sobre el tapete en el Líbano, después de que el líder del grupo chií Hizbulá, Hasán Nasrala, cargase contra las relaciones homosexuales dos veces en las últimas semanas, llegando a decir que quienes participen de ellas deben ser “matados».

La comunidad todavía se enfrenta a retóricas hostiles y persecución en el país mediterráneo, cuyas autoridades prohibieron el año pasado la celebración de eventos LGTB.
