AEROPUERTO LAS AMERICAS, SANTO DOMINGO.-La compañía distribuidora de combustible de aeronaves, Terpel se desligó del incidente ocurrido la semana pasada en el aeropuerto Internacional de Las Américas, en el que se produjo un derrame de combustible en momento que era reabastecía a un avión que salía con destino a Estados Unidos.

El gerente general de la empresa, Terpel, Ivan Henao Madrigal, aclaró que la empresa no tuvo nada que ver con el incidente que generó el derrame de combustible en las alas de una aeronave la semana pasada.

“Nosotros desconocemos las causas que provocaron esa situación que se presentó ese día en el aeropuerto Las Américas” expreso el ejecutivo de la empresa distribuidora de combustibles a las diferentes aeronaves que realizan operaciones de vuelos desde el aeropuerto Las Amèricas.

Con respecto al incidente, explicó que los operadores de la empresa actuaron en solidaridad ayudando a los envueltos en la operación a contener el derrame del combustible, utilizando los equipos y mecanismos de seguridad con que dispone Terpel.

En ese orden, aclaró que la única participación de los empleados de la empresa fue la de ser solidarios con el personal que estaban laborando en ese momento auxiliándolos con el propósito de detener el derrame del combustible que salia e las alas del aviòn hacia el pavimento logrando detenerlo.

El incidente que en poco tiempo se hizo viral causo preocupación en la población y en sectores aeroportuarios del país.

“En Terpel estamos comprometidos con una operación segura. Nuestra prioridad es la excelencia operativa, en términos de precisión, confiabilidad y tecnología”, aseguró el gerente general de la empresa privada.

Mientras que el avión de la aerolínea que se dirigía a la ciudad al aeropuerto de Newark, New Jersey, Estados Unidos, debido al percance, la aeronave con los pasajeros despegó dos horas más tarde de su salida desde el aeropuerto Internacional de Las Américas.

Con relación al caso, la empresa Aeropuertos Dominicanos XXI Aerodom, aclaró que en ningún momento la situación del derrame de combustible en el área del avión puso en peligro la seguridad de los pasajeros y de la aeronave.
