La Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica Dominicana (ETED) informó que realizó la interconexión de la nueva subestación 69 kV Imbert, cuya construcción tiene la finalidad de aumentar la confiabilidad del servicio en la zona Norte, en el nivel de 69 kV y crear las condiciones para interconectar la línea de transmisión 69 kV Imbert – Luperón de la forma más segura posible, en beneficio de unos 50,773 habitantes.
El administrador general de la ETED, ingeniero Martín Robles Morillo, indicó que, hasta el momento, la subestación Imbert funciona como una infraestructura de maniobras, es decir, que, “si hay un problema en un tramo de la línea, las protecciones de la subestación actúan. Las líneas asociadas a esta subestación pueden quedar energizadas desde otra subestación”.
“Hemos creado una infraestructura necesaria para aumentar la confiabilidad y estabilidad de suministro de la zona de Navarrete – Imbert – Luperón – Puerto Plata, consiguiendo con esto disminuir la ocurrencia de fallos y asegurar la continuidad del suministro entre Navarrete y Puerto Plata”, explicó Robles Morillo.
En ese sentido, esta subestación, que busca beneficiar la zona de Imbert, Luperón y zonas aledañas, en la provincia Puerto Plata, cuenta con tres campos de línea de 69 kV de tipo convencional, completamente equipados y uno futuro (sin equipar) con sistema de comunicación por sistema de fibra óptica; una barra simple a 69 kV, con medición y otra a 138 kV.
Además, tiene un espacio para un campo futuro de transformación. Está equipada con gabinetes de control, protección, medición, telecomunicaciones, con sistema SCADA integrado, entre otros elementos necesarios en una subestación eléctrica.
Esta infraestructura, que aportará estabilidad, calidad y mayor capacidad de transporte, conllevó una inversión de RD 26,435,672.32 y fue construida por la empresa INSEL.
Este proyecto se enmarca en los objetivos y líneas de acción establecidos en el tercer eje de la Ley 1-12 sobre la Estrategia Nacional de Desarrollo al 2030. El compromiso de la ETED es con la expansión y trasformación del Sistema Nacional de Transmisión, para mejorar cada vez más la capacidad de transporte, reducir las pérdidas y aumentar la calidad, seguridad y continuidad del servicio a todos los ciudadanos del país, acorde a los planes y proyectos del excelentísimo presidente de la República, Luis Abinader Corona.
