Exportaciones dominicanas alcanzan los USD 1,167.6 millones en mayo 2023; el mejor mes de ventas internacionales del país en la historia comercial

Biviana Riveiro Disla, directora ejecutiva del Centro de Exportación e Inversión de la República Dominicana (ProDominicana), informó que la exportación de mercancías alcanzó los USD 1,167.6 millones, equivalente a un crecimiento interanual de 8.5 % en mayo 2023 respecto del 2022, imponiendo con este resultado, el mejor mes para las ventas internacionales de mercancías del país en toda la historia comercial.

“Es importante destacar que las exportaciones dominicanas tienen tres años consecutivos imponiendo récord durante el mes de mayo, lo cual se suma a los grandes resultados que se han presentado en términos anuales en 2021 y 2022. Esto representa que exportamos más de USD 246 millones más que el 2019 previo a la pandemia”, puntualizó.

La directora ejecutiva indicó que Estados Unidos se posiciona como el destino más dinámico en mayo 2023, exhibiendo un importante incremento de USD 63 millones adicionales, en relación con el monto exportado durante el mismo mes del 2022.

Este comportamiento positivo, es seguido por las ventas internacionales hacia India, Corea del Sur y Malasia, los cuales mostraron incremento absoluto de USD 33 millones, USD 13 millones y USD 8 millones, respectivamente.

Además, otros mercados que presentan más exportación son: Nicaragua con USD 4.5 millones en crecimiento absoluto, Indonesia con USD 3.8 millones adicionales, Alemania USD 2.9 millones, Letonia USD 2.6 millones, Bélgica USD 2.4 millones, Guyana USD 2.3 millones, Paraguay USD 2.1 millones y Reino Unido USD 2.0 millones, entre otros 53 destinos que presentaron incrementos en sus valores de compra.

De igual manera, explicó que la exportación de oro en bruto se posicionó con el mayor crecimiento absoluto en el período analizado, acumulando así un crecimiento de USD 29 millones adicionales, lo cual revierte la tendencia de decrecimiento de los últimos meses. Asimismo, destacó el crecimiento en las exportaciones de t-shirts (camisetas) y disyuntores eléctricos en USD 20 millones cada uno, azúcar de caña con USD 17 millones y cacao en grano con USD 14 millones.

En ese sentido, otras 1,063 líneas arancelarias presentaron un crecimiento absoluto durante este mes. Se resalta que los regímenes de exportación, tanto el de zonas francas como las nacionales presentan crecimiento en 10.7 % y 3.7 %, respectivamente. A nivel de participación, zonas francas representa el 66.4 % del total exportado en mayo 2023, el régimen nacional un 30.7 % y un 2.9 % otros regímenes.

La directora ejecutiva de ProDominicana señaló que la institución se mantiene fortaleciendo los servicios de inteligencia de mercados para aprovechar nuevas oportunidades y minimizar los riesgos en este entorno internacional.

En este sentido, refirió el reciente lanzamiento del Sistema Alertas de Inteligencia de Mercados (SAIM) y las herramientas DATAMARKET con datos e informaciones oportunas, así como RAMI sobre requisitos de acceso a mercados, que forman parte del ecosistema digital de ProDominicana.

Riveiro exhortó a todos los exportadores y a la ciudadanía en general a utilizar el ecosistema digital de la institución, integrado por distintas plataformas a través de las cuales se obtienen datos e informaciones oportunas sobre el sector de exportación e inversión.
