 SANTO DOMINGO.-La familia Rosario se aglomeró hoy frente al Palacio de Justicia de Ciudad Nueva en reclamo de la puesta en libertad del abogado Johnny Portorreal, acusado de estafar a cientos de personas portadoras del apellido Rosario.

Sin embargo, los Rosario se dividieron en dos bandos, uno identificados con camisetas blancas y  carteles exigiendo la libertad del abogado, mientras que la otra se dio cita para externar su negativa de que el jurista salga en libertad  sin antes determinar su inocencia en los tribunales.

Los de blanco que exige la libertad del Portorreal se ubicaron en la parte izquierda del Palacio vocifereando la consigan ¡Libertad para Portorreal!

“Esto es tan real como el aire que respira”, “Dr. Johnny estamos contigo” y “Esto no  es una estafa”, eran otras de las frases que externaban los presentes o sostenían escritas en sus carteles en apoyo a su representante legal.

En tanto, establecidos en el extremo derecho, los supuestos herederos que están en contra de la libertad del Portorreal, sin pancartas y en silencio, dijeron esperar que el abogado entregue los documentos de la herencia de la Familia Rosario

Johnny Portorreal  fue arrestado la mañana del 29 de junio acusado de estafar a cientos  de personas de apellido Rosario que buscaban una supuesta herencia millonaria.

La detención del abogado se produjo en virtud de una orden de arresto dictada en su contra, solicitada por la Fiscalía del Distrito Nacional, que duró meses investigando el caso ante denuncias de estafas.

Para finales del año 2020, alrededor de 300 personas de apellido Rosario se presentaron ante la fiscalía de la capital dominicana para querellarse en contra de Portorreal.
