EL PORTAVOZ, SANTO DOMINGO. -Franmil Reyes, de los Leones, buscará esta noche empatar la marca de juegos consecutivos pegando cuadrangular en el Estadio Julián Javier de San Francisco de Macorís.

“La Mole” con tres días seguidos sacando pelotas del parque, de repetir la hazaña por cuarto ocasión en la noche de este viernes se unirá a Orlando McFarlane, Reggie Whittemore y Manny Alexander.

Reyes sacó su octavo cuadrangular, este de 413 pies para hacerlo por tercer día seguido, contra Licey (vs Ulises Joaquín), Toros (Esmil Rogers) y en Santiago (Alfredo Simón).

McFarlane, de las Águilas, nacido en el Oriente de Cuba, sacó cinco jonrones en cuatro juegos seguidos, en la estación de 1963-64. En dos temporadas sacó 18 cuadrangulares.

Whitmore, de las Estrellas, también disparó cinco jonrones en cuatro días. Whitmore fue líder en cuadrangulares con doce en 1983-84.

Alexander, de las Estrellas, de San Pedro de Macorís, también quedó con cinco jonrones en cuatro según consigna el “Libro de Récords del Beisbol Otoño Invernal Dominicano”

Reyes, le conectó a una recta de cuatro costuras ante el relevista Alfredo Simón, de las Águilas, en la cuarta entrada a 413 pies de distancia a una velocidad de 106.2 MPH.
