Desde el Gobierno dominicano se han diseñado políticas públicas para promover el desarrollo de las micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas (mipymes), que aportan más del 38 % del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB).
Así lo afirmaron tanto la vicepresidenta de la República, Raquel Peña, como el ministro de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes, Víctor Bisonó, durante la inauguración de la sexta edición de la Semana Mipymes.
La vicepresidenta indicó que el Gobierno está haciendo el mayor esfuerzo que jamás se ha hecho en el país por estimular el crecimiento de las mipymes, a través del acceso a financiamiento, la implementación de soluciones tecnológicas y espacios para incentivar la productividad y el crecimiento de estos negocios.
Manifestó que el 98 % del tejido empresarial se compone de mipymes que generan más del 54 % de los empleos dominicanos, una gran razón para invertir tiempo, recursos y personal en abrir nuevas oportunidades para esos emprendedores, por lo que el Gobierno impulsa herramientas para la Inteligencia Comercial, el Sistema Electrónico de Garantías Mobiliarias y espacios como la Ventanilla Única de formalización para facilitar el intercambio comercial de esos negocios.
“Actualmente, las micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas son consideradas como la fuerza motriz de la economía dominicana, gracias a sus importantes aportes al Producto Interno Bruto y a su rol en la creación de millones de puestos de trabajo que representan aproximadamente el 55 % de la población activa del mercado laboral nacional”, precisó Raquel Peña.
De su lado, Bisonó consideró que las Mipymes son el pulmón del desarrollo en nuestro país. “Entre la cantidad de empleos que generan, los ingresos que aportan al PIB, superando el 38 %, y el alcance que tienen a nivel nacional, es impensable ninguna política de bienestar que deje fuera a los micro, pequeños y medianos emprendedores”, manifestó.
El ministro también destacó la inversión que se ha hecho para estimular el crecimiento y la creación de las mipymes y explicó que a través de PROMIPYME se ha invertido un monto superior a los 19,000 millones de pesos en financiamiento para más de 161,000 Mipymes y emprendedores.
“El 66 % de los préstamos otorgados correspondieron a mujeres, con un monto total destinado a la equidad de género de RD 10,419 millones equivalente al 54 % por ciento de los recursos destinados a este sector”, indicó.
La Semana Mipymes, que organiza el Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes (MICM), reúne a inversionistas, empresas multinacionales, emprendedores y compradores de diversos sectores productivos. Este año, el evento está centrado en la expansión a nuevos mercados y el uso de la digitalización como medio para el crecimiento. Durante toda la semana, los asistentes participaron en rondas de negocios, talleres, asesorías técnicas y las participaciones de las mipymes.
La Semana Mipymes es el evento empresarial más importante de la República Dominicana y este año cuenta con el apoyo principal de Banreservas, EQUIFAX, PROMIPYME y Diario Libre, entre otras empresas. En su pasada edición reunió a más de 10,000 participantes, entre pymes, inversionistas, multinacionales y público en general.
