SANTO DOMINGO.-Un envejeciente de 66 años de edad y que perdió la visión en un accidente de trabajo pidió al presidente Luis Abinader y a la Primera Dama, Raquel Arbaje, para que se le otorgue una pasión solidaria.

El señor Modesto de Jesús Ruiz, quien está alojado en la casa de un amigo de infancia, luego que familiares lo obligaron abandonar la casa materna donde vivía, después del falleciera su madre.

“Hace dos años que mientras trabajaba mecánica y reparaba un vehículo estando de bajo el gato se averío y la carrocería se desprendió me golpeo en la cabeza y a los pocos meses quede prácticamente ciego.

Jesús Ruiz añadió que fue llevado al Centro Cardio –Neuro- Oftalmólogo Cecanot, donde le hicieron un estudio, pero que luego en ese tiempo en el 2021 llegó la pandemia del Covid-19 y los hospitales no recibían otros pacientes porque estaban llenos de personas contagiadas del virus.

Relató Jesús Ruiz que por falta de recursos no ha podido realizarse los estudios medidos profundos que le indicaron, para determinar el problema que le ocasionó la perdida de la vista.

El hombre quien prácticamente vive en un estado de indigencia, alojado en la casa del amigo, que le tendió la mana, sin importar la situación precaria por la que está travesando.

Explicó el hombre, que come por la gracia de Dios, de lo poco que consigue su amigo, quien reside en la calle Antonio María Pineda número 33 del sector de los Mina, en Santo Domingo Este.

Dijo, asimismo, el señor Modesto de Jesús Ruiz dijo que hace un tiempo se les extraviaron sus documentos personales entre ellos su cedula de identidad personal y la tarjeta Supérate de ayuda solidaria, que era lo único que tenía para su sustento.

En ese sentido, indicó que como extravió su cedula, no ha podido hacer diligencia para obtener un duplicado del documento por el cual le están exigiendo 1000 pesos en la oficina de Cedulación de la Junta Central Electoral, de Los Mina.

“Yo tengo mi fe y esperanza puesta, tanto en el señor presidente Luis Abinader como en su esposa la Primera Dama, Raquel Arbaje de que ellos me van ayudar con la pensión solidaria que está otorgando el gobierno”, sostuvo, el señor Modesto De Jesús Ruiz.
