Instituto Nacional de Educación Física lleva programa "INEFI con el Barrio" a Santiago

El Instituto Nacional de Educación Física (INEFI) continuó este fin de semana con su programa deportivo-comunitario “INEFI con el Barrio”, que se llevó a cabo en la Ciudad Corazón, Santiago de los Caballeros.

En esta octava etapa, celebrada en el popular sector de Pueblo Nuevo, participaron más 150 personas entre adolescentes y jóvenes quienes accionaron en los deportes de baloncesto 3×3, vitilla y voleibol.

En la jornada estuvieron presentes Alberto Rodríguez Mella, director ejecutivo del INEFI; Rosa María Santos, gobernadora de Santiago; Juan Vila, viceministro de Deportes; Marieta Díaz, directora regional de Educación; Anaisa Santos, presidenta de la Unión Deportiva de Santiago (UDESA); Luis Polonia, expelotero de Grandes Ligas; Ulises Rodríguez, director de Proindustria, entre otras personalidades.

"Felicito a las autoridades de Santiago por la entrega, compromiso y hacer suya cada actividad, con un sello de identidad único", expresó Alberto Rodríguez.

El director del INEFI provechó la ocasión para anunciar que el próximo mes será histórico para Santiago, porque será inaugurada una oficina ejecutiva y de trabajo del INEFI, dándole cumplimiento a las instrucciones del presidente Luis Abinader y el ministro de Educación, Ángel Hernández.

Mientras que, Rosa María Santos, gobernadora de Santiago, agradeció a Alberto Rodríguez, por ser un funcionario 24 horas y poner los ojos en la Ciudad Corazón.

La ocasión fue propicia para que el expelotero Luis Polonia felicitara a Rodríguez Mella, por llevar este evento a su barrio Pueblo Nuevo y además por la iniciativa de la práctica del béisbol escolar a los centros educativos de todo el país.

Los moradores del lugar se mostraron agradecidos por ser tomados en cuenta para llevarles un día completo de pura recreación y diversión.

Ganadores

El equipo “Piraña Uno", ocupó la primera posición en voleibol, mientras que el conjunto "Los Indestructibles" se impuso en baloncesto 3×3 y en vitilla se proclamó el "Team Solitario".
