Laureados escritores internacionales participarán en la Feria Internacional del Libro 2023

El Ministerio de Cultura (MINC) informó hoy que un selecto grupo de escritores de 18 países tendrán una destacada participación en la XXV Feria Internacional del Libro Santo Domingo 2023 (FILSD 2023).

La renovada Plaza de la Cultura Juan Pablo Duarte volverá a albergar esta fiesta cultural, que se desarrollará desde el 24 de agosto hasta el 3 de septiembre. La presente edición está dedicada a la escritora dominicana Jeannette Miller y cuenta con Israel como país invitado.

Es importante reseñar que este gran evento, cuyo lema en esta edición es “Para todo hay un libro”, celebra 25 años como el acontecimiento literario y cultural más relevante del país.

Las figuras del ámbito intelectual internacional presentes en la FILSD 2023 participarán en conferencias, talleres, coloquios, presentaciones de libros y otras actividades que conforman la programación de la misma.

Los autores proceden de Estados Unidos, España, Puerto Rico, México, Cuba, Brasil, Portugal, Nicaragua, Argentina, Chile, Angola, Colombia, Rumania, Saint Marteen, Uruguay, Israel, Venezuela e Italia.   

Delegación de escritores

El escritor, actor y guionista español Carlos Bardem, Premio Dashiell Hammett en la Semana Negra de Gijón por su novela El asesino inconformista, así como la poeta y novelista nicaragüense Gioconda Belli Pereira, a quien recientemente el Gobierno dominicano otorgó el Premio Internacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña, estarán presentes en esta fiesta literaria.

También se dará cita en el evento el argentino-israelí Adolfo Roitman, arqueólogo y experto en religiones comparadas, quien es, asimismo, curador de la colección de manuscritos del mar Muerto y director del Santuario del Libro del Museo de Israel.​​

Otro gran intelectual que participará es el hispano-mexicano Paco Ignacio Taibo II, profesor de historia, periodista, novelista, presidente de la Asociación Internacional de Escritores Policíacos, director de la Semana Negra de Gijón y director de la editorial Fondo de Cultura Económica.

Desde Colombia nos visitará William Ospina Buitrago, poeta, ensayista y novelista, Premio Internacional Rómulo Gallegos por su obra El país de la canela, y desde Chile lo hará Raúl Zurita Canessa, poeta neovanguardista que rompió con la estructura estética vigente en su país durante el siglo XX.

Asimismo, se contará con la presencia de la uruguaya Carmen de Posadas, escritora de literatura infantil y juvenil, guionista de cine y televisión, ganadora del Premio Planeta por Pequeñas infamias, al igual que de la cuentista y novelista cubana Karla Suárez, autora del libro Carroza para actores, entre otros títulos. 

De Portugal acudirá Gonçalo M. Tavares, narrador, dramaturgo y poeta, cuya personal voz literaria ha hecho que la crítica lo considere uno de los escritores más destacados en lengua portuguesa, y también participará la novelista y cuentista argentina Nora Rabinowicz, cuyas novelas Todas las cosas y Madre robot han sido alabadas por la crítica.

Otros autores que estarán presentes en esta edición de la FILSD son el ensayista y crítico literario italiano Danilo Manera, el poeta mexicano Mario Bojórquez, el novelista cubano José Carlos Somoza y la poeta, novelista y ensayista puertorriqueña Mayra Santos-Febres.

También contaremos con la rumana Ioana Gruía, escritora y profesora de Teoría de la Literatura y Literatura Comparada en la Universidad de Granada, así como con la escritora Isabel Zakrzewski Brown, quien también es docente en el ámbito de la lengua y literatura españolas.

Otros destacados participantes serán los españoles Eva Orúe, periodista y escritora, y José Alejandro Gándara Sancho, escritor y catedrático de Historia de las Ideas en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, entre otros.
