SANTO DOMINGO.- Un mayor del Ejército de República Dominicana (ERD) mató a balazo a otro de la Policía Nacional y provocó heridas a un raso, cuando estos supuestamente lo llevaban a su casa en una camioneta de la Comisión Militar y Policial (Comipol) la noche de este jueves.
El confuso hecho que es investigado por la Policía Nacional ocurrió en el interior de una camioneta de la referida entidad en la intersección conformada por las avenidas Kennedy con Abraham Lincoln, en el Distrito Nacional.
La víctima mortal fue identificada como Juan Luis Mercedes Sierra, de 53 años, quien recibió un impacto de bala en la cabeza, y el herido como Sucre Gabriel Batista Paulino, ingresado en el Hospital Central de las Fuerzas Armadas, donde está fuera de peligro, según contó una fuente a El Nuevo Diario.
En tanto que el supuesto agresor ha sido identificado como Francisco Santana Oviedo, quien está bajo arresto en la Policía Nacional, agregó la fuente.
Hasta el momento se desconocen los motivos por los que Santana Oviedo actuó de esa manera en contra de sus compañeros.
Esta mañana el vocero del Ministerio de Obras Públicas, organismo a la que pertenece la Comipol, dijo que espera los resultados de la investigación para poder ofrecer los detalles concretos del suceso.
