SANTO DOMINGO.- La Oficina Nacional de Meteorología (Onamet) informó este viernes que los efectos indirectos más notables del huracán Lee en la República Dominicana serán oleaje y viento anormales, los cuales afectarán la costa atlántica norte.

La institución apuntó, que la situación incluirá corrientes de resaca, rompientes de olas, y posible formación de mar de fondo.

Del mismo modo, indicó que Lee, fue localizado en la mañana de hoy, a unos 1,015 kilómetros al este de las Antillas Menores, con vientos máximos sostenidos de 270 km/h y moviéndose hacia el oeste/noroeste a unos 22 km/h, y siendo un poderoso huracán categoría 5.

La entidad recomendó seguir atentos a las informaciones relacionadas con el potente ciclóntropical, tanto de su Centro Nacional de Pronósticos, así como, de las autoridades competentes de protección civil.
