El presidente Luis Abinader visitó este viernes la provincia María Trinidad Sánchez, donde inauguró, en el municipio de Nagua, las nuevas instalaciones del Instituto Tecnológico de Las Américas (ITLA).

La extensión ITLA Nagua permitirá que unas 4,000 personas al año, a partir de enero 2024, puedan capacitarse gratuitamente en desarrollo de software, ciencia de datos, redes de información, ciberseguridad, multimedia, mecatrónica, seguridad informática e idiomas.

También contará con el programa ProtoScanner 3D, que dota de prótesis a personas que las necesitan.

El rector del ITLA, Omar Méndez Lluberes, destacó que con esta acción siguen transitando el camino del cambio a través de la tecnología, favoreciendo la inclusión social y la formación necesaria para la incorporación al mercado laboral.

Construido con una inversión de RD 17 millones, cuenta con siete modernas aulas equipadas con tecnología de última generación, área de admisiones, registro, caja, bookshop, auditorio y salones de estudio.

Entre los participantes estuvieron, el ministro de Interior y Policía, Jesús -Chu- Vásquez; los directores de la Policía Nacional, Ramón Antonio Guzmán Peralta, y de Digesett, Francisco Osoria; la gobernadora Gregoria Correa; el senador Alexis Victoria Yeb; el superintendente de Electricidad, Andrés Astacio; los alcaldes, de Cabrera, Marlon Arias y de Nagua, Junior Peralta.
