Con un show gastronómico cargado de la cultura culinaria y los sabores de productos dominicanos, el Centro de Exportación e Inversión de la República Dominicana (ProDominicana) celebró la clausura de la exposición de productos de la oferta exportable del sector agroindustrial, a cargo de la reconocida chef Inés Páez (Tita).

Durante el evento, llevado a cabo en un ambiente matizado por el posicionamiento de los productos agroindustriales en los mercados internacionales, la directora ejecutiva de ProDominicana, Biviana Riveiro, expresó que República Dominicana se sigue perfilando como una potencia exportadora en materia de alimentos industrializados gracias a los estándares de calidad.

Riveiro informó que en el 2022 las exportaciones de este sector alcanzaron la cifra de USD 2,036 millones, con un crecimiento de un 7.8 % en comparación al 2021 y en un 37 % al 2020. De acuerdo con las estadísticas, las empresas instaladas en la provincia de Santiago representan el 40 % del total exportado, ocupando la primera posición en 2022.

Es importante destacar que la exportación de mercancías alcanzó un récord histórico para el mes de junio con USD 1,112.3 millones, experimentando un crecimiento positivo en comparación con el mismo mes del año anterior y un crecimiento positivo de 33 % con respecto este mes del año prepandemia, 2019.

Se resalta que Estados Unidos es el principal destino de exportación de este sector, alcanzando la cifra de USD 91.7 millones en el 2023, lo cual representa el 58.33 % del monto total alcanzado en ese año, así como un incremento de un 8.65 % en comparación al 2022 y un 16.08 % respecto al 2021. Además, otros destinos importantes como Haití, Puerto Rico y España reciben productos agroindustriales procedentes del país.

“Desde ProDominicana continuamos impulsando el incremento de la producción y exportación de la agroindustria en el país, representando importantes oportunidades para impulsar la economía del país, gracias a la significativa cantidad de insumos que continúan demandando los mercados internacionales”, puntualizó la ejecutiva.

En el show culinario, la chef Tita, reconocida por rescatar el patrimonio gastronómico dominicano, darle valor a los productos locales y a los agricultores de los campos del país, utilizó los productos de la oferta exportable para realizar recetas que deleitaron a quienes asistieron al evento. Entre dichos productos se destacan: Profuveca (Monte Fresco), Alimentos Fortuna, Casabi, Industrias Kingston, Levapan, Guaraguanó Foods, Molinos del Sol, Heritage Chocolate, Zofka de León (Villa Sol), Aproalca (Grysa), Ma' Coco, Jomisardys, Galletas Napolitanas.

Además, Café Santo Domingo realizó una exposición donde se mostró la preparación de sus bebidas en diversas temperaturas. Asimismo, la empresa Neros elaboró una demostración gastronómica con base en helados. Durante el transcurso del evento diversas marcas presentes en el stand ofrecieron degustaciones de sus productos.

La exposición de productos en el stand contó con la colaboración de las empresas Plan Powered SRL, Neros, IK Industrias Kingston SRL, Flobeman SRL (Molinos del Sol), Guaraguano Food, Alimentos Fortuna, Industrias Banilejas SAS (INDUBAN), Café Don Alfredo, Belarminio Ramírez e Hijos S.A., Choco Organic 7K SRL, Milz Chocolat, Chocolate Chin Chin SRL, Heritage Chocolate SRL, Cortés Hermanos & Compañía SAS, Grupo Bocel, Grupo Zofka de León, Galletas Napolitanas SRL, Productos Jomisardys SRL, Procesadora de Frutos y Vegetales del Caribe SRL (PROFRUVECA), Alimentos y Productos del Caribe SRL (APROALCA), Pasteurizadora Rica, Levapan Dominicana, Molinos Modernos, Ma' coco, Sylvan Foods, Chidomex (Casabe Todus), Grupo Lácteos del Caribe (Dos Pinos) e Integrales Checo. De igual forma, se reconoce el apoyo de las empresas colaboradoras INICIA y Fersan.
