Firman convenio para desarrollar proyectos econòmicos y de turismo

Punta Cana.- La Cámara Oficial de Comercio de España en República Dominicana (CAMACOES y la Asociación de Hoteles y Turismo de la República Dominicana (Asonahores) firmaron un convenio para impulsar y desarrollar proyectos económicos y de turismo que mejoren las relaciones comerciales entre España y República Dominicana.

En el convenio, las entidades establecen que está motivado en que el turismo es una actividad que le genera importantes ingresos económicos a la República Dominicana, siendo el sector con la cadena de valor más amplia y que más impacta a los demás sectores productivos del país.

El acuerdo fue suscrito por Francisco José Pérez Menéndez, presidente de la Cámara de Comercio de España, y David Llibre Henríquez, presidente de Asonahores, quienes coincidieron en que el acuerdo establece las bases de colaboración para emprender estrategias que apoyen el desarrollo económico del sector privado en el ámbito turístico.

“Eso se hará -establece el convenio- a través de los distintos sectores productivos y del incremento de las oportunidades de inversión entre las empresas de ambos países, y muy especialmente con el objetivo de contribuir con el bienestar de la población dominicana”.

Las entidades establecerán un programa de cooperación conjunta cada año, que incluirá desarrollar acciones para mejorar las relaciones comerciales privadas entre ambos países mediante la gestión de un proceso de integración y cooperación a partir de los intereses productivos y turísticos.

La Cámara de Comercio de España y Asonahores acordaron, además, establecer estrategias que promuevan el valor de los servicios y la calidad de los productos dentro del sector turístico, y promover el desarrollo del comercio y los encadenamientos productivos “intercambiando periódicamente ofertas y demandas de bienes y servicios de cada uno, y desarrollar estudios diversos de forma conjunta”.

También, las entidades convinieron realizar intercambio sistemático de las publicaciones que realicen, impresas y digitales, sobre las perspectivas comerciales y de inversión que puedan ser de interés para ambas partes.

El acuerdo incluye hacer estudios conjuntos de interés para las partes, que reflejen la actualidad, realidad y necesidades de los sectores productivos y del turismo, y realizarán publicaciones conjuntas sobre temas de su interés

Las instituciones se comprometen a “intercambiar informaciones sobre ferias y exposiciones internacionales que se realicen y prestarse la más amplia cooperación y apoyo técnico a su alcance para facilitar la participación de las respectivas empresas y entidades en aquellos eventos que resulten de su interés".

Además, la Cámara de Comercio de España y Asonahores propiciarán soluciones efectivas frente a los obstáculos y para aprovechar las oportunidades de ambos sectores identificadas por ambas, y suministrarán “a los miembros asociados a ambas entidades orientaciones y asesoramiento que faciliten el desarrollo de sus actividades empresariales, y cualquier colaboración considerada adecuada para los fines comunes”.

El convenio tendrá una vigencia de tres años a partir de la fecha de su firma y mantiene la independencia de las entidades, las que designarán una comisión mixta para su aplicación. El mismo está motivado en el interés de la Cámara de Comercio de España de promover, facilitar e incrementar el intercambio económico, comercial, industrial y financiero entre República Dominicana y España.

Por Asonahores, la motivación, dice el acuerdo, tiene como objetivo contribuir de manera efectiva a la competitividad y el desarrollo sostenible del sector turístico dominicano, y representar a los principales agentes económicos del sector hotelero privado y el turismo nacional.
