 Biviana Riveiro Disla, directora ejecutiva del Centro de Exportación e Inversión de la República Dominicana (ProDominicana), encabeza la misión comercial de identificación de oportunidades de exportaciones dominicanas hacia el importante mercado mexicano, así como la promoción de República Dominicana como destino de inversiones para empresarios claves.

Esta Misión Comercial es un esfuerzo de posicionamiento estratégico impulsado por la embajada de la República Dominicana en México, bajo la coordinación de su embajadora María Isabel Castillo, quien desde su designación viene concretizando negocios importantes en beneficio de la República Dominicana.

En la sesión con empresarios inversionistas, en el Club de Industriales de la Ciudad de México, la directora ejecutiva de ProDominicana indicó que, “a más de un siglo de relaciones diplomáticas, las oportunidades de intercambio comercial entre nuestros pueblos son cada vez más robustas. El incremento en la cadena de valor de la producción dominicana supone la oferta de productos que satisfagan las demandas de compradores mexicanos”.

Riveiro así se expresó: “La estabilidad social y política de nuestro país, sumada a los incentivos para la inversión, convierten la economía dominicana en un destino idóneo para inversiones con potencial exportador. Esto adquiere mayor relevancia si se toma en consideración la priorización de sectores productivos estratégicos que se impulsa desde el Estado”.

El intercambio comercial entre México y la República Dominicana, entre 2015 y 2022, asciende a US$6,499.8 millones. De estos, US$6,227.8 millones corresponden a las exportaciones de México, mientras que US$272.0 millones restantes equivalen a las importaciones.  Vale destacar que la gestión de promoción de inversiones ha logrado que México sea el segundo inversionista en los últimos dos años con un valor de US$ 726,5 millones, solo superado por Estados Unidos con un valor de US$ 2,092.5 millones.

Entre las diferentes actividades desarrolladas en el marco de esta misión están la realización de más de 50 rondas de negocios con empresas exportadoras dominicanas y reconocidos compradores internacionales, al igual que participación en el Congreso Exporta, de la Red PROCEX y la Cámara Binacional México-Dominicana.

También, encuentro con mujeres líderes en México; reunión estratégica con la empresa She Trade México, para fortalecer el apoyo a mujeres exportadoras dominicanas; visitas a empresas con interés concreto de inversión en República Dominicana, así como encuentro con empresas que conforman la Misión:  Solano Comercial, Efectos MLR, Abbsolem Cigars y Sarah Cury. Además, la línea de prendas de Laura Tosato realizó la firma de acuerdo de distribución con una importante firma en México.
