SANTO DOMINGO.- La Republica Dominicana ha establecido sesenta y dos nuevas rutas internacionales en los dos últimos años, lo que se traduce en una mayor oferta de conectividad para los usuarios del transporte aéreo, según revelo este miércoles el presidente de la Junta de Aviaciòn Civil, (JAC) José Ernesto Marte Piantini, durante la segunda sesión ordinaria del organismo del presente mes.
De acuerdo con el informe estadístico de la JAC, en la modalidad de vuelos chárter desde el primero de enero de 2021 hasta la fecha han operado en el país 452 líneas aéreas, mientras que, durante el año 2019, año previo a la pandemia operaban solo 216 líneas aéreas bajo esta modalidad.
Sostuvo que desde el inicio del gobierno que encabeza el presidente Luis Abinader, el crecimiento sostenido del transporte aéreo es una realidad en todo el territorio dominicano. “El resultado acertado de la política de transporte aéreo de la República Dominicana ha permitido mejorar la gestión y calidad de los servicios, logrando incrementar en 92 % los vuelos chárter”, recordó el presidente de la JAC.
Marte Piantini explicó que antes de la pandemia en el país operaban 56 líneas aéreas en vuelos regulares y hoy gracias a las facilidades del Estado Dominicano, hay 62 operadores de vuelos regulares desde y hacia el territorio nacional. “La fórmula es bastante simple, a mayor conectividad aérea mayor será la captación de pasajeros internacionales y mayor el intercambio comercial entre países”, recordó.
En ese sentido, el presidente del organismo destacó las nuevas conexiones desde y hacia Piarco (Trinidad y Tobago), Katowice (Polonia), Estambul (Turquía), Lisboa y Oporto (Portugal), Cagliari-Elmas (Italia), Pointe a Pitre (Guadalupe), Fort de France (Martinica), Saint Croix y Saint John (Islas Vírgenes), Nassau (Bahamas), Cayenne (Guayana), Kazán (Rusia), entre otros destinos
Con el objetivo de continuar potenciando el transporte aéreo de pasajeros, carga y correo los miembros del pleno conocieron la solicitud de un Permiso Especial del operador aéreo extranjero CONDOR FLUGDIENST para operar la ruta Düsseldorf/La Romana/Düsseldorf desde el 4 de noviembre de 2022 hasta el 7 de abril de 2023.
Asimismo, conoció la solicitud de un Permiso Especial para volar en las rutas Roma/La Romana/Roma y Verona/La Romana/Montego Bay/Verona de la línea aérea NEOS y el operador canadiense SWOOP para operar la ruta Hamilton/Punta Cana/Hamilton.
