Cuando se escucha bachata se piensa en él. Y este jueves el público de Madrid ratificó su legado musical gritando su nombre- Romeo Santos.

El “rey de la bachata” subió la temperatura del verano madrileño con el calor de sus canciones en el primero de los cuatro conciertos que presentará en el WiZink Center, uno de los recintos más grandes de Madrid.

El público coreaba su nombre cuando, entre destellos rojos y fuegos artificiales, emergió de lo profundo el cantautor dominicano-estadounidense con su característico traje blanco para cantar las primeras melodías de “El pañuelo”, la canción que compuso junto a Rosalía, acompañado de una flamenca que cumplía el rol de la artista española.

Los asistentes no escatimaron en gritos y siguieron la canción como un clásico, aunque se estrenó hace apenas unos meses. Para brindar por la compañía de un auditorio completamente lleno, el “chico de las poesías” levantó un whisky y saludó- “Buenas noches Madrid”, seguido de nombrar a todos los países de Latinoamérica.

La esperada vuelta del ex “Aventura” a Europa iba a ser originalmente con un concierto, pero terminó ofreciendo cuatro debido a que, en minutos, el fervor de su comunidad de seguidores agotó las entradas.

El músico con más de 25 millones de seguidores en Spotify, sin olvidar sus clásicos, presentó canciones de su nuevo disco, “Fórmula VOL. 3”, que forma parte de una trilogía de dos CDs previos que acogieron canciones que animaron las noches de todo el mundo.

Desde arriba de las gradas se observaba un público moviéndose al unísono del famoso pasito de bachata, mientras el artista bailaba sobre el escenario y abría paso al siguiente sencillo.

“Eres mía”, una de las canciones más escuchadas de su carrera, fue interpretada casi por completo por la audiencia. En este juego de silencios y gritos emotivos entre el músico y sus seguidores, Santos le dio el micrófono a una fanática para que cantara una de sus canciones.

LOS CLÁSICOS PRESENTES

Durante una hora y media, tocó clásicos como “Solo por un beso”, “Noche de Sexo” que solía cantar junto al famoso dúo Wisin & Yandel, y “Obsesión”, una de las canciones que lo mantuvo más de 90 días consecutivos en los top 100 de Hispanoamérica y varios países de Europa.

Tras el primer cambio de vestuario de la noche, el músico interpretó sus últimas canciones virales, como “Volví” con Bad Bunny, “Farsante” junto a Ozuna y “X SI VOLVEMOS” con Karol G.

Sentado en un trono plateado, el cantautor conversó con su público, a quien calificó como “uno de los más eufóricos”, y escuchó la petición de las masas.

Santos deja el trono para subir un joven al escenario. La gente se mira y se escucha entre las melodías bachateras- “¿quién es?”.

El cantante le entrega el micrófono al fanático, quien lo acompaña durante los coros de “Alexandra”, una mítica canción de “Aventura”, el grupo que lo lanzó a la fama. Los primeros acordes del acordeón de “Propuesta Indecente” no pasaron desapercibidos.

Esta vez con un traje de cuero rojo, el músico sedujo a toda la audiencia con un baile y luego, entre sollozos, abandonó el escenario despidiéndose de Madrid hasta mañana.

MÚSICA LATINA EN LA PREVIA

En la previa del concierto, el productor musical y DJ, Deejaymad, estuvo animando con música latina un WiZink rebasado y ansioso por recibir al dominicano.

Su último CD, que debutó en la lista de los diez primeros del Billboard 200 de Estados Unidos que combina música originaria de República Dominicana con otros estilos musicales- el flamenco, el merengue, el hip hop y el pop, como es el caso de su colaboración con el norteamericano Justin Timberlake en “Sin fin”.

El primer concierto de este paso por Madrid demostró que el músico nacido en Nueva York se mantuvo en el ránking de la música tropical y, aún después de tantos años, sigue estando entre los artistas obligatorios a la hora de hacer una fiesta. Después de la ciudad madrileña, el cantautor viajará a Países Bajos para su próximo concierto, el viernes 14 de julio.
