El viceministro de Comercio Interno, Ramón Pérez Fermín, informó este viernes que realizará ajustes parciales a los precios de los combustibles, lo que significa que para esta semana del 29 de julio al 4 de agosto el subsidio a los mismos rondará los 300 millones de pesos.
“Las alzas en los precios internacionales del petróleo han sido motivo de preocupación nueva vez. El precio internacional del WTI promedió RD 77.97, lo que presenta alzas por cuarta semana consecutiva, acumulando un incremento cerca del 12 % solo en este mes de julio”, dijo Pérez Fermín.
Pérez Fermín explicó que el Gobierno ha tomado la decisión de subsidiar los precios de los combustibles, con el objetivo de contener en mayor medida las alzas y evitar que afecten negativamente la economía familiar de los dominicanos. Esta medida representa un esfuerzo significativo por parte del Gobierno, que para esta semana rondará los 300 millones de pesos.
En consecuencia, los combustibles se comercializarán a los siguientes precios:

| Kerosene | RD 248.10 por galón | mantiene su precio. |
| Fuel Oil #6 | RD 152.61 por galón | mantiene su precio. |
| Fuel Oil 1%S | RD 173.27 por galón | mantiene su precio. |
| Gas Licuado de Petróleo (GLP) | RD 132.60 por galón | mantiene su precio. |
| Gas Natural | RD 43.97 por m3 | mantiene su precio. |
La tasa de cambio promedio semanal es de RD 56.21, tomada de las publicaciones diarias del Banco Central.
