Con una inversión que supera los RD$64 millones, la vicepresidenta de la República, Raquel Peña, inauguró la sala de emergencia del Hospital provincial Leopoldo Martínez, que impactará a más de 85 mil habitantes de la provincia Hato Mayor y sus municipios.
La unidad puesta en funcionamiento por el Servicio Nacional de Salud (SNS), ahora cuenta con mayor espacio y dispone de áreas de observación con cuatro cubículos, Trauma Shock, Triaje, Consultorio, Sala de Espera, Nebulización, Curas, Sutura y Farmacia.
La coordinadora del Gabinete de Salud, manifestó que al iniciar esta gestión que encabeza el presidente Luis Abinader, se comprometieron a mejorar la infraestructura hospitalaria y el sistema de salud en general, de manera que la población tenga acceso a servicios sanitarios dignos y de calidad.
"Poder acceder a servicios médicos de calidad es un derecho ciudadano que todos nos merecemos. El gobierno que encabeza el presidente Luis Abinader está comprometido con implementar acciones que contribuyan con una mejor calidad de vida para todos los dominicanos", destacó.
Durante la actividad, la vicepresidenta anunció que con los mismos recursos que se dispusieron para remozar el hospital, se adecuarán otras áreas, además de ser agregadas otras especialidades que necesita la comunidad.
Por su parte, el director del SNS, Mario Lama, destacó la importancia de esta sala de emergencia que fortalecerá la calidad de los servicios y la asistencia que reciben los ciudadanos a través del Sistema 911 en esta provincia.
“El objetivo del Gobierno dominicano es reducir la brecha de acceso a los servicios de salud y lograr una red hospitalaria robustecida, con capacidad para dar respuesta ante cualquier situación”, recalcó.
Los trabajos de readecuación incluyeron pintura interior, exterior, remozamiento de la acera y verja perimetral, portón frontal, rampa de acceso, igualmente fueron remozadas la acera perimetral, la verja perimetral, portón frontal y la rampa de acceso; se impermeabilizó el techo del anexo, además de hacer trabajos de climatización y readecuación de todo el sistema eléctrico.
El SNS dotó también con nuevos equipos al centro de salud, para las áreas de emergencia, rayos X, consulta, sonografía, ecocardiografía, ginecología y cirugía, con un monto de RD$19,297,951.30 millones.
SNS equipa tres hospitales del Este
El titular del Servicio Nacional de Salud (SNS), Mario Lama, también entregó nuevos equipos a los hospitales Ángel Ponce, Oliver Pino y Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, de San Pedro de Macorís, valorados en RD$6, 198,159.12 millones.
El hospital Ángel Ponce, del municipio de Consuelo, recibió una lámpara quirúrgica de techo de dos satélites, una mesa de operaciones mayores, dos mesas rodables metálicas angulares, una cuna de calor radiante básica, una camilla pediátrica con infantómetro, ocho balanzas de pie, dos balanzas neonatales mecánicas con tallímetro y dos cubos metálicos para desperdicios con tapa accionada a pedal.
Igualmente, una camilla metálica rodable para transportar cadáveres, dos carros para transporte de ropa limpia, tres micropipetas automáticas monocanal, siete sets de diagnóstico de pared, además un monitor de actividad intrauterina y cardiofetal.
Otros equipos fueron una lavadora industrial hospitalaria, una secadora industrial, dos camillas para recuperación con trendelenburg, dos mesas metálicas tipo mayo, tres vitrinas metálicas en acero inoxidable, dos negatoscopios metálicos de dos campos.
Asimismo, dos incubadoras neonatales estándar, cinco monitores de funciones vitales con base pared, un centrífuga de 24 tubos, dos lámparas de reconocimiento con cuello de ganso, un electrocardiógrafo de tres canales con carro, una bandeja de legrado de cirugía mayor y una mesa de parto, valorados en RD$ 3,650,111.14 millones.
Mientras, el Oliver Pino recibió dos monitores de signos vitales de cinco parámetros, dos lámparas quirúrgicas de dos satélites, seis bandejas de cirugía mayor, cuatro bandejas ortopédicas, seis mesas metálicas tipo mayo, seis escabeles, dos camillas metálicas rodables para transportar cadáveres, dos camillas ginecológícas, seis lámparas de reconocimiento con cuello de ganso, tres negatoscopios metálicos y seis portabaldes metálicos rodables, por un monto de RD$ 1,728, 878.81. millones.
El SNS entregó al Hospital Sagrado Corazón, por un monto de RD$ 819, 169.17, dos unidades odontológicas completas, un equipo de rayos X dental con relevador de pared y un autoclave a vapor de 21 litros.
El doctor Mario Lama indicó que el objetivo es lograr que todos los hospitales estén equipados para dar respuesta adecuada a las necesidades de salud de la población.
