SANTO DOMINGO. – El director general de Bienes Nacionales y honorífico del Consejo Estatal del Azúcar (CEA), Rafael Burgos Gómez, reveló este viernes que por defender los intereses del pueblo dominicano desde el cargo que ocupa se ha ganado el repudio de muchos, que hasta su “cabeza” persiguen.

“Son muchos los enemigos grandes de mi cabeza, son muchos los que nos blasfeman, son muchos los que nos persiguen, pero seguiremos firmes, defiendo los intereses del pueblo dominicano”, expresó el funcionario durante una misa de acción de gracia ofrecida en la Catedral Primada de América por motivo del 75 aniversario de la fundación de Bienes Nacionales.

Sin mencionar nombres y ofrecer detalles concretos sobre sus revelaciones, añadió que Bienes Nacionales y el CEA  “ya no son botín de guerra de nadie”

Prosiguió diciendo que como titular de las referidas instituciones está obligado a proteger esos bienes que, según puntualizó, son del pueblo dominicano.

“Somos nosotros los que tenemos que transformar esa institución para que sirva para esos fines”, precisó.

Dijo que en un año y dos meses que lleva al frente de la institución “poco a poco, junto a estos hombres y mujeres, la hemos ido transformado”.

Funcionarios deben honrar a los patriotas

Al asistir al Altar de la Patria, donde depositó una ofrenda floral, Burgos Gómez expresó todo el funcionario que va a una administración del Gobierno debe honrar a los patricios, “porque ellos nos dieron esa historia, ese carácter, nos dieron esa soberanía”.

Argumentó que “hoy, más que nunca, en estas transformaciones que se están sucediendo en la República Dominicana es cuando más tenemos que apelar a esos valores para proteger y conservar nuestros patrimonios inmobiliarios y nuestras riquezas”.

Agregó que esta práctica contribuiría para evitar que “nadie, a través de la presión, del chantaje, la extorsión y la blasfemia, quiera persuadir a funcionarios, cualquiera que sea su rango, para sacar ventajas particulares y políticas”.
