Peña, quien con su dos jonrones llegó a 11 vuelacercas en la temporada, fue el hombre clave para que los Astros barrieran en su serie de tres partidos a los Angelinos y de paso conquistaran su sexto triunfo de manera consecutiva.
Los Astros comenzaron el partido en desventaja, luego de que los Angelinos tomaran la delantera en la segunda entrada por un palo de vuelta completa del venezolano Luis Rengifo.
Los visitantes volvieron a sumar una vuelta más en el tercer episodio por indiscutible impulsador del japonés Shohei Ohtani.
Jeremy dio inicio a la reacción de los Astros, cuando fletó su primer cuadrangular del juego, sin nadie en los senderos en la cuarta entrada frente al derecho venezolano José Suárez, quien inició el encuentro por los Angelinos.
Los Astros empataron las acciones a dos carreras en el quinto capítulo por un imparable productor del venezolano José Altuve. Las acciones continuaron empatadas hasta el noveno episodio cuando nuevamente hicieron acto de presencia Altuve, quien luego de dos outs conectó un indiscutible al jardín central, lo que preparó el escenario para el tablazo ganador de Peña ante el relevista Ryan Tepera (1-2).
El dominicano Framber Valdez abrió el encuentro por los Astros y lanzó seis entradas de una carrera, con 13 ponches, para salir sin decisión del partido.
La victoria se la acreditó el cerrador de Houston Ryan Pressly (2-2) al lanzar una entrada en blanco, en la que ponchó a tres bateadores.
Por los Astros, Peña bateó cuatro imparables en cinco visitas al plato, incluyendo un cuadrangular, anotó dos veces y remolcó tres carreras; y Altuve terminó con tres indiscutibles en cinco turnos al bate, anotó una carrera y empujó una. Por los Angelinos, Rengifo bateó de 4-1, con una carrera anotada y remolcada.
