El Ministerio de Educación de la República Dominicana (MINERD) anunció que está abierta la convocatoria para que los aspirantes a maestros participen en el Concurso de Oposición Docente Focalizado, con el propósito de cubrir las 7,647 plazas vacantes que existen en los centros educativos del sistema público, en las áreas curriculares de los niveles, subsistemas y modalidades, correspondiente al Año Escolar 2023-2024.

La Orden Departamental contempla que los docentes que integran el Registro de Elegibles como resultado del Concurso de Oposición Docente 2021, serán considerados con prioridad para las designaciones en las plazas vacantes identificadas.

La convocatoria está contenida en la Orden Departamental No. 26-2023, que reglamenta el Concurso de Oposición Docente Focalizado, con una disponibilidad general de 7,647 plazas vacantes, de las cuales 836 son para maestros del Nivel Inicial; 1,817 para los de Primaria; 164 para docentes de Secundaria de Lengua Española; 426 corresponden a los de Secundaria del área de Matemática; 33 para los de Secundaria de Ciencias Sociales y 409 serán para los profesores de Ciencias Naturales.

Además, hay 841 plazas vacantes focalizadas para maestros de Educación Artística; 956 para los de Educación Física; 361 para maestros de Inglés y 106 para los de Francés; para los profesores de Formación Humana Integral y Religiosa están disponibles 365 vacantes; para Informática Educativa, 657; para Educación Especial, 428, y para Orientación Escolar, 248 puestos.

Los aspirantes a ocupar las plazas vacantes serán evaluados en tres etapas: Prueba de Habilidades Cognitivas Generales (PHCG), Prueba de Conocimientos Pedagógicos y Disciplinares (PCPD) y, por último, la Entrevista por Competencias (EC).  Para superar satisfactoriamente el proceso, el postulante deberá obtener un total de setenta puntos (70) como resultado final en las etapas de una máxima de cien (100) puntos.

El MINERD explicó que, para participar en el proceso, los postulantes deberán cumplir con los requisitos establecidos en la Ley General de Educación No. 66-97, que incluyen ser profesional de Educación, graduado de las escuelas normales superiores, universidades, institutos y entidades superiores de educación o de áreas afines, previa la observación del requisito de convalidación.

Asimismo, ser graduado de instituciones de educación superior en los casos especificados por la referida ley; reunir las cualidades morales, éticas, intelectuales y afectivas necesarias, así como los conocimientos y competencias requeridos para el ejercicio de la función específica a desempeñar.

Además de cumplir con los requisitos mencionados, los postulantes deberán completar los datos en el sitio web www.ministeriodeeducacion.gob.do., siguiendo las instrucciones específicas sobre el proceso de registro e inscripción. Será obligatorio contar con una cuenta de correo electrónico personal activa, la cual se utilizará para validar y confirmar el registro.

De acuerdo con la Orden Departamental, los postulantes seleccionados desempeñarán sus funciones exclusivamente en las áreas de especialización o necesidades curriculares específicas identificadas en los niveles, subsistemas y modalidades educativas.

Los aspirantes participarán en el Concurso de Oposición Docente Focalizado para las plazas vacantes publicadas, teniendo en cuenta su demarcación geográfica y la proximidad al distrito o regional educativa, con lo que se busca fomentar la equidad y brindar igualdad de oportunidades a los solicitantes, con prioridad a aquellos que se encuentren en la zona específica.

La institución oficial dijo que para el referido proceso fue designada Comisión Nacional la cual será responsable de la organización, implementación y la dirección a nivel central, conformada por el Viceministerio de Acreditación y Certificación Docente, quien la preside, por los viceministerios de Servicios Técnicos y Pedagógicos, de Planificación y Desarrollo Educativo, de Supervisión y Control de la Calidad Educativa, además, las Direcciones Generales de Recursos Humanos y de Comunicaciones, así como un representante del Ministerio de Administración Pública (MAP) y una comisión de la Asociación Dominicana de Profesores (ADP).
