Con la asistencia del ministro de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología, doctor Franklin García Fermín, fue inaugurado el Instituto Superior Especializado en Imágenes Médicas (INESIMED).
Al pronunciar las palabras centrales del evento, el rector fundador de la institución académica, Fauzi Bachá Arbaje, dijo que “el nacimiento de un hijo mayor, cargado de retos y grandes compromisos éticos y académicos con la educación superior en imágenes médicas, nos convierten en mejores”.
“Nuestra pasión, calidad, entusiasmo y entrega, permitió que después de esa larga y fructífera trayectoria, iniciáramos la inauguración de un ambicioso proyecto institucional que favoreciera el crecimiento de miles de jóvenes y colegas médicos del país”, dijo.
Recordó que el entonces proyecto académico fue sometido a los miembros del Consejo Nacional de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología (CONESCYT) para que valoraran y aprobaran, bajo sus exigentes criterios técnicos y profesionales, “nuestra primera institución a nivel superior, especializada en imágenes médicas en la historia de la República Dominicana”.
Bachá Arbaje dijo que “al día de hoy hemos capacitado y acreditado desde el 2007, cuando éramos INESIMED, a 6,202 profesionales y técnicos en las diversas modalidades del diagnóstico por imágenes”.
Agradeció a los miembros del CONESCYT por su resolución a favor de un proyecto tan necesario y prioritario en el área del diagnóstico médico y la salud en general, así como al ministro García Fermín, quien todo el tiempo estuvo “abierto a recibirnos, a darnos asesoría, y que hoy nos privilegia con su valiosa y estimulante presencia”.
“Prometemos ante esta exquisita audiencia, que trabajaremos incansablemente junto a todas las sociedades especializadas que hoy nos honran con su presencia, junto a nuestro equipo de vicerrectores, directores, cuerpo docente, asesores y personal administrativo, para convertir al INESIMED en un referente medular de la educación superior especializada en la República Dominicana y Latinoamérica, bajo la voluntad del Todopoderoso”, dijo.
Barchá Arbaje aseguró que “garantizamos cumplir y hacer cumplir todas las normativas del Ministerio de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología, así como respetar nuestros propios reglamentos académicos, que permitirán un crecimiento sostenido y ejemplar en el campo de la educación especializada”.
Entrega Resolución
Durante el acto de inauguración, el ministro García Fermín entregó al doctor Bachá Arbaje la Resolución número 26-2022 que acredita al centro para entregar títulos de Educación Superior en la República Dominicana.
García Fermín felicitó a los fundadores y al cuerpo docente del INESIMED, al tiempo que les deseó éxitos en nuevas labores académicas.
Homenaje
El doctor Bachá Arbaje recordó que a la primera persona a quien le presentó el proyecto fue a la doctora María Elena Cruz Batista, para ese entonces rectora de la Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago, recinto Santo Domingo, (UTESA).
“Hoy, 15 años después, queremos agradecer a la doctora María Elena, que es una apasionada por la educación; queremos hacerle un homenaje, bautizando con su nombre la biblioteca de nuestra institución”, dijo.
Recorrido
Tras la ceremonia de inauguración, los asistentes recorrieron las instalaciones del centro, que cuenta con aulas climatizadas, oficinas administrativas, bibliotecas, salón de conferencia y otras apropiadas para la enseñanza.
Además de García Fermín, a la inauguración de INESIMED asistieron el viceministro de Educación Superior, Ciencia y Tecnología, José A. Cancel; Violeta Melo de Bachá, cofundadora y vicerrectora del centro académico; Jacqueline Reyes, presidenta de la Asociación Dominicana de Sonografía; Marcelina Agüero, presidente de la Asociación Nacional de Profesionales y Técnico en Imágenes, entre otros.
