El Ministerio de Turismo firmó acuerdos por separado con el tour operador de Polonia Rainbow Tours, la aerolínea española Iberia y la alemana, Euro Wings, para el desarrollo y crecimiento sostenido del turismo en la República Dominicana.

El presidente Abinader encabezó, junto al ministro de Turismo, David Collado, la firma de los convenios como parte de las actividades programadas en el marco de la Feria Internacional de Turismo (FITUR 2022).

El primer acuerdo fue firmado con la aerolínea Iberia, que busca realizar acciones de promoción de República Dominicana en España.

Durante el acto, el ministro de Turismo expresó que es una clara señal de que la comisión y el presidente Abinader vienen a esta feria a firmar acuerdos, con un valor estimado de mil 400 millones de dólares para la República Dominicana.

El segundo acuerdo fue firmado con la línea aérea alemana, Euro Wings. Con esta alianza estratégica, a partir del 29 de enero, se garantizan dos vuelos semanales a Puerto Plata durante el año 2022. En la actualidad la línea aérea realiza vuelos diarios a Punta Cana.

El ministro Collado expresó que esta firma es muy importante porque el presidente de la República ha venido con un mandato claro a la FITUR 2022, reforzar el destino turístico de Puerto Plata.

Con respecto a la alianza con Rabinos Tours, se asegura tres vuelos semanales desde las tres principales ciudades de Polonia hacia Puerto Plata.
