SANTO DOMINGO – La diputada y precandidata a alcalde por el Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM), Betty Gerónimo, acudió ante el llamado que hicieron residentes de los alrededores de las cañadas de Buena Vista segunda, Los Platanitos de Los Guaricanos y Sabana Perdida para escuchar sus necesidades ante el paso de la tormenta Franklin y llevando asistencia a las zonas afectadas.
El panorama que se vive en los lugares afectados es desolador, ya que el agua y el lodo inundaron desde antes de anoche a decenas de viviendas en Los Guaricanos, Sabana Perdida y Buena Vista 2da.
Gerónimo, ha llevado a cabo un recorrido por diversos sectores de Santo Domingo Norte, con el objetivo de canalizar de manera inmediata las situaciones que se presentan debido a las precipitaciones.
La aspirante a la alcaldía de Santo Domingo Norte conversó con residentes y líderes comunitarios de las zonas afectadas para escuchar sus necesidades y brindarles apoyo en tiempo real.
Betty Gerónimo se hizo acompañar de un grupo de ingenieros y técnicos contribuyendo con el alquiler de equipos, como palas mecánicas, retroexcavadoras, camiones volteos y otros equipos pesados, lo que ha ayudado a la solución de muchos de los problemas generados por las lluvias.
La legisladora ha distribuido alimentos cocidos y crudos a cientos de personas que sufrieron pérdidas por las inundaciones que se han registrado en los últimos días, lo que ha mitigado la situación que viven esas familias, incluyendo una gran cantidad de niños, así mismo al personal de rescate de los diferentes organismos.
Durante el recorrido la legisladora oficialista hizo entrega de equipos de rescate a los organismos de socorro entre los que se destacan botas, guantes y otros utensilios.
“La colaboración y el trabajo en equipo son esenciales en estos momentos. Siempre nos hemos caracterizado por servir y en los momentos más perentorios hemos estado presente, porque Santo Domingo Norte nos duele y entendemos merece un mejor futuro” aseveró.
Betty Gerónimo lamentó que la alcaldía de Santo Domingo Norte haya realizado acciones negativas en su contra, poniendo en primer lugar los temas políticos antes que las necesidades y medidas de prevención de la población de ese municipio, que representa la legisladora desde la Cámara de Diputada
