El presidente Luis Abinader viaja este sábado a Bruselas, Bélgica, para participar en la III Cumbre Unión Europea-CELAC de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno, que reunirá a líderes europeos, latinoamericanos y caribeños para fortalecer las relaciones entre ambas regiones.
Esta cumbre, que tendrá lugar los días 17 y 18 de este mes, es de los principales foros de diálogo y cooperación entre Europa y los Estados de América Latina y el Caribe.
Domingo 16
Este día, el mandatario dominicano iniciará sus actividades de la III Cumbre con un almuerzo de trabajo a la 1:00 de la tarde con miembros de la comitiva oficial en donde participarán el canciller, Roberto Álvarez; el viceministro de Política Exterior Multilateral, Rubén Arturo Silié Valdez, y el embajador dominicano en Bruselas, Iván Ogando.
En horas de la tarde, el jefe del Estado sostendrá un encuentro con la diáspora dominicana en Bruselas.
Lunes 17
Para este día, el gobernante tendrá varios espacios para reuniones bilaterales con importantes jefes de estado y representantes de organismos internacionales.
El presidente Abinader también participará en la reunión entre la Unión Europea y líderes del Caribe, en el marco de un almuerzo.
Martes 18
La agenda del presidente Abinader comenzará este día con una reunión de Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno progresistas UE-ALC, además de que estará participando en varias mesas redondas temáticas que hablarán de comercio, desarrollo sostenible y recuperación económica en el período pospandemia, así como participará en un almuerzo de trabajo.

Para este día se tiene pautada la salida de Bruselas del primer mandatario dominicano.
El presidente dominicano tiene previsto salir del país alrededor del mediodía de este sábado en compañía de sus asistentes Lourdes Herrera y Eilyn Beltrán, así como del general Jimmy Arias, director del CUSEP.
Llegará a Bruselas alrededor de las 8:00 de la mañana del domingo.
En Bruselas se le suman, como parte de la delegación oficial, el canciller Roberto Álvarez; el viceministro de política exterior multilateral, Rubén Silié; el embajador dominicano en Bélgica, Iván Ovando Lora, y su director de prensa Daniel García Archibald.
