SANTO DOMINGO.- La colocación de luces led en todos los estadios donde se juega el torneo de béisbol invernal, así como de la creación de la plataforma Lidom Network representan algunos de los planes a corto plazo que el presidente de la Liga Dominicana de Béisbol espera materializar en su nuevo mandato de dos años.
El licenciado Vitelio Mejía también destacó en el programa Diamante Deportivo que se labora con intensidad en los estudios de factibilidad y mercado para la creación de la Liga de Béisbol de Verano en la que figurarán los seis conjuntos de la pelota invernal, junto con la entidad existente en la Federación Dominicana de Béisbol.
Vitelio dijo que desde hace unos días estaba en agenda un encuentro con el presidente de la República, Luis Abinader, empero el mismo tuvo que posponerse debido a que el mandatario estuvo afectado por el Covid 19.
“Ya en los próximos días esperamos reunirnos con el mandatario Abinader para impulsar el proyecto de la colocación de luces leds para los estadios Cibao, Julián Javier, Tetelo Vargas y el Francisco Micheli”, sostuvo el presidente de Lidom, tras participar como invitado en el programa que se produce de 11 a 12 del mediodía por la Voz de las Fuerzas Armadas.
En ese sentido, también se conversará de manera amplia sobre las necesidades que tienen esos estadios de cara al venidero campeonato de béisbol invernal.
Liga de Verano
También se avanza en los estudios de factibilidad y mercado de la Liga Profesional de Verano, ya hemos conversado con Cesar Collins, quien es el presidente de la Liga de Verano de Venezuela, la cual en dos años se ha hecho rentable.
“Este es el modelo que pensamos seguir con las seis franquicias profesionales y con la Federación Dominicana de Béisbol, en los próximos días nos reuniremos con el presidente de Fedom, Juan Núñez para afinar esos aspectos”, señaló.
Otros aspectos que tocó fue que desde este año comenzará el sistema de anotación digital, dejando de lado el ya ambiguo de hacerlo en hojas.
También tienen un encuentro pendiente con la Federación Nacional de Peloteros Profesionales sobre algunos aspectos relacionados con la agencia libre, a fin de mejorar este sistema.
Lidom Network, nuevo proyecto
Asimismo, la Lidom continuará colocándose acorde a los nuevos tiempos y entre los proyectos a dejar establecido está una plataforma digital, que producirá contenido durante la temporada regular y también en el verano.
Externó que el 17 de este mes la Liga presentará ante la Junta de Directores del organismo este proyecto trascendental, que será un canal digital, con una programación muy variada y amena en todas las emisiones.
“En su momento realizaremos una explicación a la prensa del proyecto, pues el negocio del béisbol para crecer no debe solo depender de las ventas de taquillas, así como de la publicidad en las vallas, pues estas abarrotan las diversas áreas de los parques”, señaló.
