La tecnología está teniendo un papel destacado en la presente XXV Feria Internacional del Libro Santo Domingo 2023 (FILSD 2023), poniendo de manifiesto su relevancia en el panorama literario contemporáneo, tal y como se puede apreciar en diferentes pabellones del recinto ferial.
Desde el acto inaugural de la FILSD, la tecnología ha deslumbrado y está presente en espacios tan importantes como el Pabellón de la Imaginación, novedad ferial de este año, y el Pabellón Jeannette Miller, escritora homenajeada en esta vigesimoquinta edición.
La exposición del Pabellón Jeannette Miller cuenta con el atractivo de un holograma con rasgos femeninos que habla a los visitantes sobre las obras de la escritora, los géneros literarios en los que ha incursionado, sus libros publicados y los premios que ha recibido, incluyendo el Premio Nacional de Literatura 2011, entre otras informaciones.
Por sus novedosas propuestas, el Pabellón de la Imaginación se ha convertido en uno de los espacios más visitados de la FILSD 2023. Este cuenta con actividades interactivas, que incluyen un tour 4D por la Ciudad Colonial y la presentación de los equipos de varias universidades dominicanas cuyas invenciones han sido premiadas por la NASA.
En este pabellón los visitantes pueden vivir experiencias inmersivas en el metaverso, con una biblioteca virtual que permite interactuar con libros de realidad aumentada. Asimismo, cuenta con una pista de carros controlada con la mente y un brazo robótico que mimetiza los movimientos de un brazo real.
Adicionalmente, y como muestra de los recursos más actuales, el Instituto Tecnológico de las Américas expondrá en él varias aplicaciones basadas en la inteligencia artificial.
La presente edición de la Feria Internacional del Libro Santo Domingo se consolida así como un espacio de convergencia y fusión entre el arte literario y las herramientas tecnológicas más vanguardistas, trascendiendo las fronteras convencionales y pavimentando, tal vez, el camino hacia el futuro de la literatura.
Conferencias
El Pabellón de la Imaginación fue escenario este martes de dos importantes conferencias sobre el desarrollo de la inteligencia artificial y su aplicación en la educación.
Por su lado, Alejandro Almazán disertó sobre "La inteligencia artificial y el futuro de la educación. Una mirada de Google".
Este autor sostuvo que, ante el desafío que representa la inteligencia artificial para la educación, las expectativas de los estudiantes están cambiando y, de la misma manera, las universidades se están transformando.
El también representante de Google para México, Latinoamérica y el Caribe dijo que la tecnología por sí misma no va a mejorar la educación, pero sí contribuirá a este objetivo, al tiempo que resaltó que la UNESCO predice que para el año 2030 se van a necesitar 69 millones de educadores a nivel global.
“En el mundo hay más de 12 aplicaciones que tienen más de mil millones de usuarios diarios, y Google tiene nueve de esas aplicaciones”, señaló Alejandro Almazán ante un público conformado mayoritariamente por profesores y estudiantes.
Anteriormente, en el Pabellón de la Imaginación se ofreció la charla “Programas STEM”, un enfoque de enseñanza transversal que combina las ciencias, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas, a cargo de Yizhaira Delgado, con la coordinación del INTEC.
La XXV Feria Internacional del Libro 2023 tiene a Israel como país invitado y está dedicada a la escritora dominicana Jeannette Miller.
