INEFI participa por primera vez en el Congreso Mundial de Deporte Escolar

Por primera vez el Instituto Nacional de Educación Física (INEFI) participó en el Foro Mundial del Deporte Escolar, celebrado en Mazatlán, México, de la mano de su director ejecutivo Alberto Rodríguez Mella.

En una nota suministrada por la Dirección de Comunicaciones del INEFI, se destaca que, “por primera vez, un director de INEFI participa en el Congreso Mundial de Deporte Escolar, celebrado en esta ocasión en la ciudad turística mexicana de Mazatlán”.

Informó que el profesor Nelson Acevedo, presidente de la Federación Dominicana de Deporte Escolar, “tuvo la gentileza de motivar la ponencia a través de un audiovisual de Alberto Rodríguez Mella, actual director de INEFI”.

Rodríguez Mella dijo sentirse agradecido por la invitación y a México por organizar este magno evento en el que se trataron diversos temas relacionados con la educación física y con el deporte en las escuelas.

El director ejecutivo del INEFI agradeció las palabras del profesor Nelson Acevedo, quien representó a la República Dominicana en la actividad, y resaltó la labor que viene haciendo Rodríguez Mella en los centros educativos del país, desde que fuera designado en noviembre como director ejecutivo del INEFI.

Recordó que “el INEFI es un órgano descentralizado, responsable de la educación física y elbdeporte escolar en los niveles inicial, primario y secundario del sistema educativo dominicano, tanto en la parte pública como en la privada”.

Resaltó que su objetivo es garantizar que todos los niños y jóvenes completen la educación inicial, primaria y secundaria, “que ha de ser equitativa, inclusiva y de calidad”.

Sostuvo que para lograr ese objetivo, el INEFI cuenta con un equipo técnico que trabaja en el remozamiento de las instalaciones deportivas en los centros educativos, así como también en proveer de útiles deportivos a esos planteles escolares.

En el Congreso Mundial de Educación Física y Deporte Escolar, llevado a cabo en el salón de conferencias de un hotel mexicano, también participaron decenas de directores de instituciones similares al INEFI de diversas naciones.
